me and my friend want to start a band. she sings and plays Acoustic guitar and i play electric. we are gonna wanna start playing at small shows like 100-150 people tops so what equipment are we gonna use. will i need a 200 watt amp or do most places provide a sound system where my small amp will do the trick. and what about the acoustic? how much will all this cost?
You are always at an advantage to get a good amp to fill up any place. you need a good PA too. not every place has a sound sytem. You can get a good acoustic guitar and a pickup at Musician’s friend.com. don’t buy the ones with the electric built in. they have lousy little pickups. buy a seperate pickup for the acoustic.And some good mics. you can get all these stuff at musician’s friend or music123 .
