My bedroom walls are white and they’re horrible. They collect dirt and muck. I was thinking of getting my walls painted. I then thought, why not paint them green so I can use it in my videos instead of using a green screen? So basically, what shades of green paint would register on editing software?
It depends on the software you use. Generally you want an rgb value as close to 0,255,0 (or cmyk=100%,0,100%,0) as you can get but some software programs are more forgiving than others. See http://getoddnews.com/2011/01/20/colorscreenmask/ for the software suite I use.
