when i load a tape into my vcr and press play, i hear a small squeeking noise and the screen of my tv goes black and i can still hear the audio but no video.
im plugging it into the cable slot not through av ports.
when i took off the top of the vcr to get a closer look, everything checked out, but there is still a squealing almost like a belt on a car.
any help?
try another tape.. it sounds like the cassette tape is worn..
also try cleaning the tape heads..
both of these can cause the problem you describe.
