When I burn video files from my DVR to play on my DVD player, the video works fine but the audio won’t play. Converting the video/audio takes a long time, so I was wondering if I could only convert the audio.
I think VLC can do the job
download and install vlc media player
Run VLC and click File>Quick open File and open the video
Press pause and click File>Wizard
Check Transcode/Save to File and click next
Check “existing playlist iten and choose your video, click next again
Now check “transcode audio” and make sure “transcode video” is unchecked.
Choose whatever audio codec you want to use and choose next
Choose the video format your video was and choose next again
Now just save the file as NAMEOFVID.FILETYPEOFVID and wait for it to convert
