I unplugged it the week of cancellation and turn it on a month later and it still records manually.
It has zero program inof but still does the deed..
I thought all the tivo experts said you cant manually record on a tivo series 2?
Hmmm, that’s interesting. I wonder if it might be because you unplugged the unit from the phone line or ethernet connection. If the machine was not connected, there would be no way for TiVo to downgrade the firmware. So whatever capabilities it had before you canceled would still be there, just without any program schedule data.
