what do I use and what do I need to turn a room into a REAL projection theater (Best of everything for greatest expirience)
There is no kit per say, but there are professional home theater installers that will create a “kit” for you.
There are a ton of web sites out there for stuff like this. Converting a room into a home theater with plus stadium seating, ambient lights, movie posters, pop corn machines with a projector and the speakers.
It really isn’t too hard, just will cost you a good chunk of change. It also depends on how far you want to take it. Obviously you will want to get a descent surround system and probably run all the wires so that they are hidden. A projector and a screen is a must. Painting the walls a darker color, so help keep it as dark as possible is also a great idea, a color like red, black or a dark gray will do. You will also want to address any windows with curtains that will block any and all sun light. Lastly you will want some ambient light, even if it is lamps with dimmers on them.
All that is what I would consider as bare necessity for a “real” theater.
