A while back, when you thought about surround sound you pictured a person sitting in a living room with a remote controller.
Lately even cars have surround systems. The whole aim of having surround sound is so that you can have a 3D feel when you are listening to something. It needs a lot of patience to have it in your car but it is worth it after all.
You need to plan well before you start the whole project. Decide the exact spots where you want the speakers to be installed. Know where the subwoofer will perform sound best. They should not be too c lose neither should they be too far from the passengers.
You car should have a total of four speakers and subwoofers placed too. Each of the speaker will go to its own corner almost above the ear level so that the sound that comes forth is quality. This will ensure that the levels reached are good quality sounds.
Speakers need enough power to function properly. Therefore, you will need an amplifier to be able to feed your speakers with the required power.
You may need a center speaker. The center speaker is supposed to be put on the dashboard alongside a tweeter to bring out the metallic high frequency sounds. A crossover is the one that separates those low frequency and high frequency sounds.
Once you are at the stores to buy the new stereo, have it be accompanied with a surround sound processor. The signals are all digital and therefore the surround sound processor will need to be the kind that will process the digital signals well.
If your have a stereo that is not the digital kind, then have a processor that is capable of transforming surround sound from analogue to digital format.
The surround sound that you will experience will therefore be 3D. Now you can be able to experience exactly what you have been craving all this while.
