Can someone please help me out with either of these problems?

1) The acceleration is centripetal, so at 5.00cm:

a = ω²r
= [33.3rev/min(2πrad/rev)(1.00min/60.0s)]²
(0.0500m)
= 0.608m/s²

At 10.0cm and 15.0cm, I get 1.22m/s² and 1.82m/s², respectively.

2) Friction is the force which provides the centripetal acceleration:

mv²/r = μmg———->m divides out
v = √[μgr]
= √[(0.400)(9.80m/s²)(80.0m)
= 17.7m/s
