I accidently deleted a bunch of the little programs that come with windows – one of those being the volume controle thing….. in order to install it I’m supposed to use some windows disk that i lost years ago…. is there anywhere to get this program or something similar so I have more control over the system volume? My speakers are crap and I can’t change their volume any other way… thanks!
The volume control icon was deleted, so when I try to place the icon there it says something about how “the requested program was not found”…
In order to reinstall it I am supposed to use a windows disk that I no longer have… maybe I’ll just look on Ares or something…
Try going to Add/remove programs and on the left side it shows Add/remove Windows Components. I believe when you click on that it will give you a list of components. When you scroll down to “sound” or “volume” it should give you the opportunity to reinstall it there.
