Hi, i recently had my PC repaired and a new motherboard put in. I’ve got surround sounds speakers (Creative® GigaWorks™ S750 7.1 – http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=113&product=9306)
I cant get all the speakers to work? only the front left and right work. i only have pink, green and blue plugs on the back of my pc. and im connecting the green to the green on the back of the main speaker base but only 2 of the speakers play sound?
It sounds like the new mother board isn’t multiple speaker compatible. They swapped out a 5.1 or greater motherboard for a cheaper one.
The solution buy an add-on sound card for your computer, this is easy enough and cheap enough to do on your own.
Green only handles left and right front, you still need a black connection for the subwoofer and center channel and a yellow-orange connection for the surrounds.
