Hello everyone
I have a casual Sony surround sound amplifier with the 5 default sony speakers (left, center, right, surround left, and surround right).
The surround right speaker (because of its position) has fell a few times. I was wondering if a replacement is ever needed, would just any speaker do? Or would I have to purchase a specific surround right speaker?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Using any speaker as a replacement….. Will it work? Yes. Will it mess up the sound image? Most definitely.
If you want to make a replacement your best bet is to replace in pairs (most speakers are sold in pairs only BTW). Or the best way is to replace the speaker set with a better set that one you will need to mount.
I recommend Klipsch for a replacement set. They are more sensitive so more SPL for the same amount of power.
Any of the bottom three would be a great step forward from what you already have. The last two will need a sub though make sure it is timbre’ matched to your system.
