Hi everyone,
quick question: my friends bought me a 5.1 Multimedia Speaker set (by Philips, if that’s important). It is designed for connection to PC, as ti has 3 output jacks – front, center/wfr, and rear.
I was wondering if there is any way to connect the speakers to my TV set or a DVD. Don’t rush to give an answer, think that DVDs often have a set of 5 inputs instead of 3. I was thinking of a cable or something like that.

Thank you to everyone for your suggestions so far. I have to report (so that others can avoid my situation) that PHILIPS clearly states on the speakers’ box and manuals that this set can be plugged to a DVD as well. So watch out for it 
It’s unlikely you’ll be able to connect this setup to your TV or home theater. The PC speakers are designed to work with the PC sound card that offers 3 connections: FRONT (stereo) / CENTER (mono) / REAR (stereo). The center speaker has a crossover network to route the bass to the subwoofer.
The TV is going to offer normal audio outputs (separate LEFT and RIGHT jacks; each mono) and possible some type of digital audio output (either coax or optical, or possible both). Neither of these outputs is going to work for your speakers.
Nor will the home theater work, because it is going to provide an individual output for each speaker, including the subwoofer.
The speaker set was meant for a PC, not for your main sound system. Sorry.
