i want to add some curves to my square speaker box, but i dont want to spend lots of money on fiberglass. bondo dries pretty hard and is less expensive. if i used somthing like foam for support would it work to cover it in bondo, like 1/2 in thick?
A much easier alternative from standard bondo, which has no support structure to it is the “fiberglass reinforced” bondo that has shredded fiberglass already in it. All parts stores carry this and is only a tad more expensive than the regular. Has much more strength and would be easier to mold than plain unreinforced bondo. You see car customizers often use this to mold areas on cars that they used to mold with lead.
