Select option Architect Installing ceiling speakers series
The installation instructions below is part of Choice Selects CHO5046 number. The CHO5046 is a 6.5-inch two-way ceiling speaker.
The choice of location:
When choosing a location to install ceiling speakers, the mounting surface should be between 0.37 and 1.2 centimeters thick. It must also be at least 5.8 inches free space behind the mounting surface and no wall studs or other objects to block the rear of the speaker.
Preparation ceiling speakers for installation:
- If you want to paint the plastic frame and grille, the paint before connecting the cable or assembly speaker
the speaker. - To remove the grill, use remover included with the speaker grill, or insert a paper clip
one of the openings of the grid to pull up. You can also rotate the plastic frame back and forth until the
edge of the grid is exposed. - When painting the frame, remove the grill and place the painting provided masking
template to prevent paint from entering the speaker.
Connecting speaker cables:
- Thread the speaker cable from the receiver to the speakers.
- Separate close 4 inches of speaker wire at each end of the driver.
- Using wire strippers, remove about 6, (1 / 4 inch) of insulation from each wire.
- Turn the ends of each wire to prevent fraying.
- Connect a cable marked with a red speaker terminal by pressing the release tab, insert the cable into a hole, and releasing the tab.
Repeat this procedure to connect the cable to the terminal unmarked black. - Connect the cable marked coming from the red terminal on the speaker to the red or positive terminal of the amplifier. After that, connect the marking
terminal cable to the black or negative the amplifier.
Mounting the President:
- Remove the grill to expose mounting screws.
- Make sure the mounting tabs are provided, allowing the speakers to fit into the hole. Then insert the speaker into the hole mountinh.
- Use the four screws to tighten the mounting tabs to the wall or ceiling.
- Replace Grilled: To remove the speaker from the wall or ceiling by loosening the screws just enough to remove the speaker. This will prevent loss of support
tags.
