I saw someone post somewhere that it was possible but it didn’t give details. My Linksys WGA54G works perfectly connecting a Sony Playstation 2 to the internet. I just can’t figure out how to get my Blu Ray player to do the same.
I have connected it but it doesn’t work. I need details on how to get it to work.
Yes, just connect the player to the adapter with an ethernet cable, the same way that you connected the PS2.
The adapter only has one ethernet port for connecting a device, so if you want both devices connected at the same time, then you might want to get a network switch: http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=network+switch&hl=en&cid=9668942640721812709&ei=43zxS5GwAoXkNfbUseYK&sa=title&ved=0CAwQ8wIwATgA#p . It will increase the number of available ports to 4 (or more depending on the switch).

If the PS2 can still connect using the adapter, then the problem is in the Blu-ray player settings. Did you go through the setup for wired networking in the Blu-ray player after connecting the player to the adapter?
With a wired connection, you should not have to provide any settings, just use the automatic or default configuration for all network settings. The adapter handles the connection and encryption to the wireless router, the player does not need to use any encyrption keys or security when using a wired connection to the adapter.
