I’m planning to use all three starters (just because i want to)
i know theyre not the best, but i’ve always wanted to go through a game with all three.
i just wanted to know if anybody had any suggestions on what else i could use to balance out the team?
I thinks that’s a great idea! Besides, having all three starters means you already have a grass, fire and water type!
For suggestions:
I’d definitely have a flying type. Maybe Pidgeot? Easy and quick to get as a Pidgey, plus it’s final form is very strong and has a really good attack and good speed too. If not, then you could get a Dragonite (get Dratini from the game corner or Dragon’s Den) – it would be the strongest non-legendary type.
I’d suggest maybe getting an electric or ice type – say, a Mareep and evolve it into and Ampharos? Thats one of the strongest electric types in the game and good in general. For an ice type, a Piloswine’s good (and it’s ice and ground) – has great health and defense and will do really well against the champion and 8th gym leaders who have dragon types.
For the last one, maybe a ghost or psychic type? If you can trade then I’d go for a Gengar or Alakazam – both have really good special attack. Or else a fighting type – The most useful is probably Machamp – but in my game I got a Tyrogue from the Karate King and evolved it into a Hitmonlee – it has a brilliant attack and is just great in general. Personally, I’d get a fighting type.
By the way, I’d teach the starters their ultimate moves (Blast Burn, Hydro Pump and Frenzy Plant). Frenzy Plant is like the coolest grass move ever!
But it’s all up to you.
