I have a 2nd generation iPod touch 8gb, and I bought the 3rd generation update for it on Itunes. I have the plug for the computer, a wall charger and a car charger for it. I have three cases: one hard, one silicon and one that flips open with a magnetic hold. It has scratches on the back, but none on the front. It works perfectly no problems ever. I want to sell it because everytime I want to add songs I have to delete old ones because there is just not enough room. I can no longer have pictures on there because of how many songs and apps I have. When my mom bought it for me it was $249, but went back up to $300 after Christmas.
Well since you can buy an 8gb 3rd Gen iPod Touch for $199, don’t expect to sell the 2nd Gen for any more than that.
Even with accessories, you still have an older iPod Touch that won’t really handle all the fun stuff with iOS4…
Updating to iOS3 doesn’t make it a 3rd Gen… it’s still 2nd Gen hardware just running a newer OS version.
I wouldn’t worry about what you paid for it several years ago… you have to remember a brand new one with more advanced hardware sells now for $199. So keep that in mind when you try to figure out a good price.
