I have a 51 inch Magnavox TV. Model 51MP392H rear projection TV. Is it possible that dust has collected on the lenses of the three projection tubes or is that area sealed? I live in a very dusty area.
Definitely will help the picture. Electronics seem to be the worst attractors of dust, and it will settle on the internal parts. Not only does your rear projection TV have (3) different colored lamps, it also has mirrors as well. My RCA 52″ rear projection TV started displaying a rainbow effect of colors on the bottom of the screen, and carefully cleaning the mirror inside remedied the problem.
