Projectors are not ideal for gaming use or for watching tv. The lamp do last last long and majority of them only last for 2,000 hours. The cost to replace them range from $50 to $500, depending on the projector. I use a projector for my home theater and for only watching blu ray disc movies. Beside that you need a projector screen and a dark room for a projector. You are better off buying an LCD tv which should last around 60,000 hours and they are brighter. My projector cost was $3,499. Hope this will help you out.
