I am currently hooking up a small restaurant and the owner wants me to hook it like a surround sound system. Is there a sound processor out there that takes 2 channels and splits it up into 5.1 channels. This is for a restaurant so i don’t think small home theater amplifiers will do.
Surround sound is recorded on 6 different tracks. If you only have a 2 channel receiver you don’t have surround sound, period. Good luck explaining to the owner that he will need to spend money, that never goes well. Besides, I’ve never heard of a restaurant with surround. The customers will hear different things depending on where they are seated.
