i’m trying to decide between a pda vs. ipod – would there be one that can do both? i’m totally ignorant with both technologies, don’t know a lot about them. i mostly want music, but would like something to organize my schedule too.
If you get a Pocket PC phone, then it can act as a PDA, computer, organizer, e-mail, web browser and mp3 player. You just need to evaluate what you need. Do you need an organizer, phone or mp3 player?
The problem with using a PDA/Pocket PC as an mp3 player, you are very limited in the amount of songs you can store. The largest mini-SD card is 2GB. If you get an iPod, you can get up to 80GB of space. Considering a song is about 5MB, then 2GB will allow you to store up to 400 songs, where 80GB would allow you to store 16,000 songs.
Since you want mostly for music, iPod is the best way to go. You can upgrade your cell phone to a pocket pc.
