I just set up two outdoor speakers. The speakers are supposed to be waterproof but I am afraid of the exposed speaker wire in back of each speaker as they are only partially shielded from the elements. I have some “magic putty” I bought from a TV ad which I’ve never used. I was wondering if I could just cover the connection with it. Any better ideas?

I use a product called shoe goo. It dries in a few hours and is totally water proof and it’s also an insulator, so it won’t short the wires. I bought mine on ebay.
