I am looking to buy some NTSC dvds online from overseas. I am from Australia and I have a PAL dvd player. Will the NTSC dvds play on my PAL dvd player? Also will they play on my computer, eg through VLC media player?
A PAL DVD will usually play on an NTSC player and vice versa. But the color information for the two systems are in different locations and at a different reference frequency. You’ll probably see a picture but it’ll be in black and white.
