They were able to play on me media center, but then i downloaded some software and I could no longer play them in my media center. Even after unstalling the software.
Looks like the files got deleted. You have 3 options:
1. Do a system recovery. This is not worth it.
2. Download a mp4 codec for wimdows media centre. The best option.
3. Install another program for playing mp4, like itunes. Not preferred.
