My headphones (Porta Pros) suddenly stopped working on the left side. It’s probably a piece of wiring at the jack, or anywhere down the whole cord.
Is there a way to actually fix this? Or do I have to swap them?
Unless the speaker on that side is bad, you can most likely fix them, but you’d have to take them apart, check all the connections first and the possibly even have to put a new cord on them. An easy way to see if there is a break in the cord somewhere is to put them on, play some music, and just work your way down the cord with your fingers slowly, squeeze and twist and stuff on the way down. If it comes on at some point, then you probably found the break. In general though, the connections usually break inside the earpiece. Just open it up and see if the wires are still connected to the speaker. If not, you can solder it back on. Hope this helps.
