Toshiba have joined the intel’s latest centrino mobile technology, known as sonoma chipset which is used in the production of the tecra A3, and satellite M45 laptops in January 2005.
A processor of intel pentium M with 533 MHz, DDR2 memory, a mobile intel 915 express chipset, and integrated media accelerator 900 graphics, the sonoma is not so exciting for those with digital inclination. Whereas, for a typical home or office user, the new intel technology is quite exciting.
The chip package can energize a laptop pc to vertiginous new heights in the world of wireless connection, mobile security, and audiovisual operation.
Among all the new toshiba laptop pcs that provides these features, the tecra A3 laptop pc is more affordable between the two. The buying of this laptop pc gives you the opportunity of using the intel pro/wireless 2200 BG network connection card, a 802.11(b)b/g wireless LAN. With a hard drive pack of 40GB, 256MB memory, which is expandable to 2GB.
The tecra A3 has an undocking feature, which eases desk-to-mobile operation. It has an optical disc drive of integrated CD-RW/DVD-ROM. You will also love the 15″ XGA display. This laptop pc also has a configfree multimedia feature which enables you to manage your wireless connection along side the 3 USB ports and 10/100 ethernet.
The toshiba laptops M45 provides a hard drive of 80GB in the M45-S331 model or a hard drive of 100GB in the M45-S351 model. It has a 1.73 GHz intel pentium processor, in comparism with the 1.60 GHz in the M45-5331 and the tecra A3.
There is a DVD-supermulti drive for writing and reading CD and DVD formats. If you want to acknowlegde a DVD and all digital vedio items, then the toshiba laptops M45’s 15.4″ widescreen display and its 1280×800 trubrite resolution is the solution. To enjoy your audio item with this laptop pc, switch on the harmon/kardon speakers with SRS virtual surround feature.
Even the toshiba laptops M45 may seem wanting when compared to other notebooks. You can choose between the M45 and the tecra A3 which are both having a one-year warranty that is extendable with home support, carry-in support, mail-in support and other services provided.
