I did the research and bought a 42 inch LG about 18 months ago.
Great picture and friends say it looks like a more expensive TV. It was same price as the 40 inch Samsung and the pic looked much better on the LG than the samsung in the store.
Our family’s experience with Sony products not good. Laptop – power pack went in less than 3 years and no replacement was available anywhere in the world! My Sony Desktop hard drive is toast in less than 3 years, my Sony wireless headphone rechargeable battery pack kaput in less than 2 years – no replacement to be found!!!
