i have a dell inspiron 1525 and dell said that a HDMI connector between my laptop and surround/dvd system should do it..but when i tried, nothing happened, my pc wouldn’t even turn on..help please!!
i’d like to watch dvd’s and listen to my music..i have a s-video slot both on my tv and my dell, will that be all ineed or do i need a audio cable also?
The HDMI ports on both devices are more than likely both OUTPUTS.
They are for connecting the device to an INPUT of another device such as a TV.
And no matter what “Dell said”, you can’t connect OUTPUT to OUTPUT.
