My dvr is connected to the tv by an hdmi cable. I tried hooking my red, yellow and white cables to the vcr but when I try to tape anything all I get is a blue screen with audio but no picture — actually you can kind of see the image behind the blue but it appears to be floating upwards from the bottom right to the upper left. What am I doing wrong?
Did you hit “play” on the DVR, “record” on the VCR, and change the VCR input to the set of jacks on the VCR (usually called “direct” or something like that)?
