I have bought a HDMI cable and a new HD TV the video has improved and the audio has improved but the speech is gone from all the games this is the 5th time im posting this up please help

Most likely you need to go back to your PS3 options and change the audio output to HDMI.

are you connected to the TV only via HDMI or is there a surround sound system involved?
Generally speech disappears when surround audio is messed with. For example – if the audio being processed is expecting a center channel, but there isn’t one – then speech can disappear since the center channel is primarily where speech in video is concentrated.

Okay, assuming the TV only has 2 speakers right? That means stereo audio only – a left speaker and a right speaker. If the playstation is set to output surround sound audio – it sends the speech to the center speaker. In this case, there isn’t one – therefore, no speech.
Basically what you should probably do is go through the settings in the PS3 and games and make sure that any surround sound audio options are disabled or set to stereo. It might be a good idea to check the TV’s audio options, as well – though that is less likely to be causing the issue.
