We recently bought a DVR or HDD Recorder for ourselves and we were recording television shows from the free airwaves just like you would with Dish or Direct, and we were playin them back just fine when the power went out and i am wondering if we can get it back, and i never actual told it to save the show, i just hit pause and it started recording, i just assumed it would because its just saving on a hard drive, when you unplug your computer you dont completely erase your hard drive
the HDD is a Magnavox MDR513H
Recording on a DVR with a hard drive is not the same as using a computer….. after a show is recorded, the machine writes the info onto the hard drive and is stored as a program file.
If you lose power during recording, unfortunately the recording is lost
