my receiver is now turning off and says that it is protected. it use to work fine till i connected more speaker wires to it. could it possibly be bad wires? i’ve read the manual but it’s not very helpful..would resetting be the best possible way? please help!!!!!
Definitively not your receiver, resetting the memory won’t do it, all you will achieve is losing all your settings.
it’s definitively the wires, make sure that all your wires are connected + to + and – to -, otherwise it’s a short circuit, thankfully your AVR235 shuts down and protect itself without blowing a fuse or itself.
Also, make sure that, if all your cables are connected correctly that there is no errant strands of wire touching the other contact (+ touching -) which will short it!
