Im doing research for my first ultimate “music” system, not a Home theater.
I really want to get a pair of 2x L & R speakers + 1 100w sub too, at 100w each at 4ohmz. Each speaker will go in each corner of the room.
So far as much as I know, I’ll be needing 2 receivers to power the set? but i dont like this idea
Can any audiophile shed some knowledge on how to exactly go about this and how can I set this up. (specific connection details will be so much appreciated)
My source of my music will be my computer if that helps.
No, you dont need two. Most regular 2 channel amplifiers have connections for 4 speakers, with a switch to either use speakers “A”, or “B”, or both. And some have a specific “sub out” where you can connect a sub with an RCA cable.
If not, a lot of home subs have a pass through, speaker level input, where you connect the speaker outputs of the recieve to the sub, and run wires from the sub to the speakers. This gives the sub the signal it needs to do its work, and passes on the signal to the speakers.
