I’ve been looking into getting a subwoofer for my basement and I think I understand the difference between powered and passive subwoofers and I was looking into getting either:
Powered KRK10s at $449 – $549 (depending where I get it)
OR:
Energy ESW-M8 at $399 ($600 off, normally $999) however it says it has a “single active/dual passive design” and I have no idea what that means.. what does it mean?
I currently don’t have a sound system, so passive is out of the question.. is there even a point of getting a powered subwoofer without a sound system?
