My sister likes Jillian Michaels workout vidios, and I wondered if she would like the wii version for christmas. What makes the wii version better than the DVD? If there is not much difference, I might just get her another DVD, because their probably cheaper than the wii version. Thanks! 
The advantage of having the workout on the Wii instead of a DVD is that it is more interactive. However if it is the Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum Wii game that you are planning on buying, I would not recommend for the more advanced people working out. The problem with the Wii is that it is a game and so you can easily get distracted with the novelty bits you get, such as creating your character and creating your own fitness workout with the excercises provided. There are different difficulties to choose from, although they just give you a different amount of time to complete the task rather than it getting harder or easier.
With a DVD you know what to expect and what kind of workout you will be getting. You know that you will be getting a proper fitness workout rather than pretending to jump from log to log.
I would recomend the game for younger users only.
