My samsung 32in lcd tv looks great in full hd,prime-time programming. Problem is the sound is too tiny and concentrated. I’ve looked at samsung’s dvd home theater units and I’m not convinced of them being the best choice, for this specific duty. If I do go with another brand, a truly universal remote must be included.
300.00 is only going to get you a home theater in a box system (and not a quality one either) if you break that cost down it would be 100.00 for the reciever/dvd portion, 100.00 for the subwoofer section and 100.00 for five speakers (or 20.00 each)
I don’t know about you but I have yet to hear a 20.00 speakers that sounded good at all and surely not a 100.00 sub that did any good at all. Just to get decent average sound I would just be starting at 1,000 and going up from there.
Pretty much any HTIB system is going to have “tiny and concentrated” sound. This may work in a small bedroom system and your not too concerned with good audio, but if going in your family room system, I’m sorry but 20.00 speakers will not be able to get any decent volume without distorting and running out of steam.
