Hi, I only have a quick question on my Bose home theater speakers. So yesterday I saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Media (great movie) and the blu ray player was connected to the speakers. I up the volume and everything sounded good, or better, amazing! Anyway, I can damage my speakers to listen in very high volumes. My maximum volume is 80, is best if you listen to in 76 or is it still too, if so the volume level would you recommend? My speaker was a bit warm after it is that normal? And I have two Bose cube speakers are good?
A small drivers eventually could burn (thermal failure) if you play at very high levels for a long time. That's what made the cube speakers are hot to the touch. And if they are distorting at high volume levels, you will definitely bite the dust. All dynamic drivers (in their cubes and sub) is heated, it is normal. There is no way to benchmark the volume to volume # on your unit. Too many variables. What speaker (s) sounds good is subjective or empirical reality. I have a hodgepodge of focal, A / D / S, Paradigm, and KEF speakers in home theater system. It is a system perfectly suited for certain, but NEVER Bose would do it for me. If your Bose system sounds good to the ears, then you are fine for your needs.
