i have check everthing, put new disc but still says no disc, i can still play movies on dvd recorder. and yes the disc are the right ones, been recorder on dvd recorder for 2 years now. thank you gis and girls.
It’s probably the laser. If it’s a cheap one, the laser lens is usually made from plastic which can “burn” out of shape after a while whereas more expensive ones are made from glass. It could have also burnt itself out – the laser power has to increase when you put a recordable disc in so it might only have enough power to play back. Soon it will probably say no disc on movies and other discs you put in as well (my mate’s did that) so you might need to get a new one if it’s cheaper than having it repaired.
