How To Get An All Region Blu Ray Player
Anyone who has a HDTV and a Blu ray player knows what amazing quality you can get from the format.
But one problem i have had is that Blu ray movies are region coded, which means that for instance if you buy a film while on holiday in America it will not play in Europe. Multi region dvd players are now more common but not so with Blu ray.
Approx 60% of Blu ray movies are region free, but this is getting less and it is difficult to tell when buying from abroad or on the internet.
Blu ray multi region players can be very expensive costing up to £300 or more, but there are some cheaper players available where i found that you can change the region via the remote control. I recently bought a Curtis blu ray player from Ebay…..then on the internet i found places where you can get the code to type into the remote to change the region setting. After buying a blu ray movie from the states that i knew was region locked i put it in my player and it would not play. I used the code to change the region, re-started the machine…and hey it worked!
This is what i did…..
With no disc in the tray & tray closed – enter 973501 and press enter – this provides multiregion DVD and region A bluray playback.
With no disc in the tray & tray closed – enter 973502 and press enter – this provides multiregion DVD and region B bluray playback.
With no disc in the tray & tray closed – enter 973503 and press enter – this provides multiregion DVD and region C bluray playback.
Simply change the second to last number to represent the region code of DVD and the last number to represent Bluray code.
So those of you who want multi region for your blu ray collections check out these machines.
