I just bought a nice surround sound system from someone for 600 dollars: suround amp, towers, center channel, rear channels, 10″ sub. They are some good brands too like JBL, Nuance, and some others. Anyways, my 10″ JBL sub doesnt go as loud as i would like to have, and because it is only a 10″, it cannot reach some of the lower fequencies i love. I dont know very much about home audio, but i checked JBL’s site for their 12″ subs and they came up at over 500 bucks. I’m a student so i dont have cash falling out of my pockets as i look, so i was wondering what the best place to get a 12″ sub that sounds great for a decent price. I like how the current sub fills out the room good, but it doesnt go loud enough to deliver that house shaking deep bass i am wanting. What is the best sub i can get to go as loud as possible for a decent price? I have acsess to a credit card so online buying is a option if that would be cheaper. Thanks alot.
You get a 12 inch JBL (ES250 PBK for $260 from Amazon also the Polk Audio PSW 505 sells for $250 , if that is too steep for you take a look at the BIC V1220…or make your own using a Dayton driver and amp from parts express, save some money by designing your own box…another idea would be to buy another 10 just like the one you have now and run them dual..
