We tried the Bose 123, very disappointed, returned product! Looking to spend about $1000.00 & need rear speakers to be wireless capable. Do not need it be a package system, but if it will do the job package is just fine!
By all means stay away from Bose. If you had more room in your budget I would recommend speakers such as Kef that use point-source technology. These have a measurably broader dispersion. I would also strongly recommend hard wired speakers in the rear instead of wireless. They will sound much better although you or someone you pay would have to fish the wire through the walls. Given the restrictions you specify I suggest you consider the Sony DAV FX 900 W. It is not a high-end system by any means but it fits your specified price and wireless rear requirements. Additionally it will blow away that 321 system you returned.
