I know that you can go from one speaker’s positive, to the other speaker’s negative, etc. Wouldn’t you have to use a speaker cable that isn’t positive or negative, like a special cable? What kind of cable would you use? I tried using a standard +/- speaker cable, and it didn’t work.
Many commercial ceiling speakers in office buildings, schools, hospitals etc run off a 70 volt system. With that type of system, each speaker is wired in parallel and each speaker will have a small transformer:

If you are talking about normal 8 ohm speakers without the transformer, you would wire them the same way, but with a limit of 2 speakers. 70 volt systems can accommodate many speakers in parallel.
You should be able to use standard speaker wire for either type of system.
