Good day guys
Is there any method or devices that will let me play my electric guitar through “passive bookshelf” speakers?
Let say I have a Les Paul > few effect pedals (equalization, overdrive/dist, octaver, etc.) > ??? > passive speaker (red/black connectors)
I know that those speakers have will flat response and need to be powered, but normal integrated amplifiers don’t seem to have instrument cable inputs. Can regular heads (e.g. Marshall Haze 15, Blackstar HT-5H) power those passive speakers? How would they connect those?
I’m eyeing for Cambridge Audio S30 speakers and plays from sparkling cleans to djenty metal on bedroom levels, but I’m open to any product suggestion =D
A guitar doesn’t generate a strong enough signal to move a loudspeaker on its own. That’s why we use amps.
I wouldn’t advise you to hook up bookshelf speakers to a guitar amplifier, or to hook up a guitar to anything other than a guitar amplifier, because you obviously don’t know anything about electricity or audio.
Stop trying to come up with some stupid way of doing something that’s so simple. BUY AN AMP!
