I have a samsung 5.1 surround sound home theatre system that I would like to use as my main speakers. I also have a nintendo wii, satelight, ps3, & xbox 360 I would like to use with it as well. The receiver only has ONE audio input, and one HDMI output. Is there any way that I can not think of to make this work with all of these things without switching cables back and forth (like some kind of audio splitter or something, which those do not seem to exsist)
They do exist and they work very well. Their price range can vary greatly too depending on their function and quality. Simple ones only do audio and more expensive ones will do video switching and the most expensive ones will do video switching through multiple HDMI ports.
If your TV has multiple video inputs then I’d buy a less expensive audio switcher like the one in the link and use the TV for switching video and the switch box for the audio.
